Engine Specifications

No car is perfect, but each one has something better than the rest in the class. In the case of 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, is the engine, the whole lineup to be precise. According to our sources, the 1500 model will have three different engines while the engines of the other two models are still to be announced. As you’ll see in the following few lines, the whole lineup remained pretty much unchanged. There will be three different engines, but unfortunately, a diesel engine won’t be available.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado engine

Firstly, there is the 4.3l six-cylinder. This is going to be the base engine with an output of 285 HP. In the last few months, you had a chance to read about it and see whether it is reliable on the road or not. The second option is 5.3l eight-cylinder. It is slightly powerful than the base version, with an ability to generate 355 HP. However, this is not the top of the lineup since there is one more that will leave you speechless.

The 6.2l is the last, but not least, the option with an output of 420 HP. It is the strongest engine of the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado so far, but we need to wait and see what is going to be under the hood of the other two models. There’re some indications that Chevrolet is going to launch “eAssist” hybrid system but don’t take this to the bank.

Interior and Exterior

As you already know, upholstery will be updated, and we’ll see some new materials in a cabin. There were some touches on the grille so you’ll spot a few differences. Double headlights are placed at the front which some people won’t find attractive. Chevy should reconsider this feature before releasing 2018 model. The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado looks very muscular and more elegant than most of the pickup trucks. The bumper is enormous and chromed. On each side of it, you will spot fog lights which look quite similar to headlights.

When you take a look at the back of the truck, you’ll spot rectangular-shaped tail-lights. They are sharper than the front lights and look more attractive. One of the best things about new Silverado is that it comes with more color options that its predecessor. Hence, it’s more personalized and should have bigger market share once it is released. To sum up, the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado is stylish and elegant, just headlights don’t look very classy.
