Jeep in the Hall

The Jeep brand split the 2,000-square-foot booth into two thematic spaces, exposing, on the one hand, the legacy of iconic models such as Willy, Wrangler, and Renegade, and on the other hand, the contemporary Compass, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. Highlights were the Compass Series S and Renegade Willy presentations. The presence in the Show demonstrated the consolidation of the brand that leads the SUV segment, which is the fastest growing in the national market. Jeep is in the fourth consecutive year of significant growth, with sales growth of 22.4% over 2017, well above the 13.5% growth in the domestic market in the period. Its two best-selling models, Compass and Renegade, are produced at the Jeep Automotive Polo in Pernambuco, the world’s most modern Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) factory, which opened in April 2015. Since the beginning of domestic production, already more than 270 thousand vehicles of the brand were registered in Brazil. The stand presented some models in extreme conditions of use, as in a steep slope with constant heavy rain. The line up of the brand was presented in an animated high stage, acclimated by a digital panel. But the Jeep booth went beyond the vehicle exhibition. A climbing wall was built inside the booth and a tattoo studio, in partnership with Black Ball.

Jeep excitedly demonstrated its partnership with the Tamar Project – a Brazilian conservation project that works to preserve endangered sea turtles – and the WSL (World Surf League) as a sponsor of the world surfing championship. About 100 tattoos were made and almost 2,000 adventurers accepted the challenge on the climbing wall. The booth also featured Garage space, a space with the brand’s exclusive brand store, Jeep Gear, and all MO par accessories and parts. There were more than 40 thousand visitors in this space. Jeep Nation, the brand’s newly launched relationship club, provided VIP access to the event, offering tickets, free parking and preferential attendance at the tattoo studio and other booth activities. The VIP Jeep area was a meeting point for brand lovers and corporate customers, with six exclusive events including the Dodge and Ram brands.

Tribute to Willys Jeep

The New Wrangler is based on an instantly recognizable design, thanks to traditional Jeep styling details. The outward features are bold and rustic, with a lower waistline and larger windows for better visibility, especially on the trails. The Jeep design team gave the legendary seven-slot grille an up-to-date look that now shows the two crevices at the ends being “invaded” by headlights, honoring models like the Jeep CJ-5 (produced in Brazil between 1957 and 1982). Another highlight in the front is the top of the grille, which was gently sloped to improve aerodynamics.
